Change Driven Engineering focuses on the continuous management and development of IT systems in a highly dynamic context. A change driven Software Process is not controlled by a fixed set of activities but by change events. Each change event (e.g. a new requirement, a modified software component) triggers a change propagation (analysis of affected parts of the system) and the change of these affected parts.  Change driven software engineering principles can be effectively realised in a Living Models environment supporting traceability and tight coupling of models and code.

Collaborative Security Management refers to the fact that information security requires the collaboration of many stakeholders. Collaborative Security Management provides methods and tools to support systematic information exchange (e.g. about requirements and risks) and activity synchronisation among stakeholders in order to achieve the necessary level of security.

Collaborative business processes refer to a type of business processes characteristic for collaborative systems. Collaborative business processes describe the interaction between independently acting peers (often adhering to independent domains). Rather than strongly structured business processes collaborative business processes are typically document-centric. Examples are the collaboration of stakeholders in health care around electronic health records or the collaboration of stakeholders in the automotive domain around the car´s software.

Collaborative IT systems are characterised by the cooperation of independent peers offering and calling IT services. IT services may be offered on a multitude of devices, with and without human interaction. This simple model encompasses the flexible cooperation of peers across organisational boundaries and technical platforms.
